Love the Aux input for the stereo, hate the location. I have an iPhone so I need it outside the glovebox, tried stringing a cable from inside along the dash, the glovebox would close but it looked ugly. There is a two part "bloom" on the aux clip in the glovebox. If you are careful with a very small screwdriver you can work your way around the edge of the inside clip and it will "blossom", then you can just push the aux jack through the hole in the glovebox (your might want to…

The result is an aux input under the dash where no wires have to show. Pictures attached. My dealership doesn't have any accessories yet so I bought some floor mats at Target made by Rubbermaid called Ultraguard. They are rubber with two small areas of inlaid carpet. The really cool thing is they are trimmable for a custom fit so on the drivers side you can notch out a small semi-circle for the brake pedal and it fits like it was built for the smart. I even was able to use the back seat mats for the trunk area.
I also solved the limited interior storage issue at the container store. They sell "eagle creek" packing systems in their travel department. The "cube" soft sided container fits behind both seats and the "tube" fits under the passenger seat. They even had a black soft sided half size dopp kit the is perfect for the glove box and still leaves room for my iPhone to hook up to the aux port on the stereo.
Lastly, I bought "trunk ezz" (at the container store) for a car I had a while back. They are black partitioning devices. You get three for $10, they nest, and when you pull them apart they act like velcro on the carpet in the trunk area and keep stuff for shifting around if the trunk isn't full. Does anyone have information on removal and replacement of the exterior panels? I am planning on turning my red cabrio into a silver one and I would love to have the specifics in hand instead of going into it blind.
