Loved your review so much that I ordered this thing for my 2009 smart. I had scangauge in my 2008, and I really like this one better. Much easier to read and faster to hook up. I used your method for mounting and it was a breeze! You should get a sales commission. UltraGauge's online rebate program SUCKS and after 4 or 5 attempts, I said to hell with it (they can keep their $9.00 dollars) It was still less than 1/2 the cost of scangauge.

Got mine a couple of days ago. I have very mixed feelings about this ultra gauge... I bought it for the wife's car.. And now she won't let me use it. Something about her never having the cool gadgets till now and that the UG is STAYING in her car!<br /> I love the UG! and like others have comented, it makes the SCG2 seem archaic. In case anyone else sees this and can't quite picture where the base goes, here is a better picture of that. One must cut off most of the soft rubber suction cup piece (else the whole base it too thick to do this) - then one starts sliding the hard plastic base under the plastic of the speedo and A/C console higher up on the dash, then gently slide it towards yourself, until it is situated as shown in the picture below. I still have to work out cable management, obviously. Just got it…
