The Tampa MB dealership had my SMART in 3 times and for almost three weeks total. Nothing they tried to do worked until a complete replacement of the locks and the SAM unit. So my issue is unrelated, but I am sending this quick post in because I completely disagree with the people bashing Dave above. Dave was very helpful, very curteous and incredibly responsive through this process. My car not working right is not his fault… I don't have the check engine light issue, but my SMART wouldn't lock. Rather absurd. Still like the car but I know where you're coming from on the other bullcrap. All in all I like the car but the lack of service and noncompliance with repairing this "engine light" ain't worth the $23K out the door price.
