because it's an electric (electro/mechanical) screw type when you power off than back on it resets....like most things that are computer controlled... ....ever do a restart on your personnel computer to "fix it"

search the site typing in" transmission"...you're not alone seems to be a clutch problem which Daimler AG is well aware of...if the dealer is like the one's I've dealt with..you'll need to call the 800# and talk to the zone rep

It's the break indicator switch. It happened to me. When you apply the break, the switch fails and the car's clutch won't engage. The car can't be shifted without the break being applied.

There is a "teach in" procedure described in the manual, but I think 007 is correct.

the tranny may need to be re-programmed, there is something in the owners manual about it. sometimes you may have to do that. i've had mine over 2 years, my problem was a faulty brake light switch that locked my car in park when it was below 0F.

problem with the gears

hi there to everyone i need help on discovering what is wrong with my smart car while im driving my car i come to a stop sign sometimes theyellow triangle light gos on and my gears dont work no more three strips apear on the dashborad so what i do is i turn offf the car for like 5 minutes and it become ok but now it is getting worse its starting to do more often alot more times. can anybody help me solve this problem thank you mikeSee More
