I love my smart but.........

I love my car but recently, when the cold weather started, my driver side door will not latch properly if the car is out in the cold for a couple of hours....I know that replacing the latch will fix the problem but that is not an option right now... cold weather means less work for me...thus funds for this option are not available, i went to my dealer (unfortunatly not a smart dealer,used car shmuck dealer) they refused to help....anyone got any ideas its getting dangerous to drive the car…

just out of curiosity

Just out of curiosity, my gas mileage consistently has been between 50 and 55. This is even with chomping on it daily. Anybody else having the same good fortune as myself. My wife isn't doing so well with hers and thinks that I am blessed with a mutant engine.

Maryland Smart Car Roundup

I'd like to arrange a Maryland Smart Car Roundup. However, Maryland is an oddly shaped little state and without fedback from potential attendees, I don't know where to hold it - Frederick? Baltimore? Annapolis? Easton? St. Mary's City?

2011 is started wow a whole new smart year !

Smart Car Service

I have a 09 Rag-Top due for 20K service. I went to closest Smart dealer for the 10K service which is 3 hours form home. Can these cars be serviced by other dealers closer to home or serviced by anyone else? I don't want to mess up warranty, I have extra up to 50K miles, don't want any problems or screw up warranty. Help, Thanks Doug

Service

I have a 09 Rag-Top- Due for 20K service. First service I took to Smart Dealer which is 3 hours awayt for my house. Is there any Authorized service centers around Fresno, Calif? Do you have to take car to a Dealer for service? The 20K service is not any big deal, I don't believe. I would think any auto service shop should be able to service car. I don't want to screw up any warranty. Help, Thanks, Doug

I am so lucky to find my Smart in nowhere IL

I got my Smarty on 8/12/10 and on 8/17/10, I had time to check the net, I am going to try and make the event. I missed it last Spring my Scoot, due to rain. One of the best parts of the trip from IL. to FL and back was on the way home we hit a rest stop and a flock of Smarts pulled in. I screamed like a kid and asked a hundred questions.
