Well, the touch-up paint is good, but the plastic is pretty soft and easy to gouge - hitting debris on the road has a similar potential... but of course, the fender holds it's shape - and seems to, even in accidents. For the cost of a fresh one, it doesn't pay to try to repaint.
oh thats not good. is it fixable or will you need to order a new piece? Looks like you now have more inspiration to do a bit of body work.

Now I'm blushing! If I must confess, I was driving on the sidewalks around my house (exploring new parking alternatives), and I just touched the stucco with my front corner. It's a silver model, and that paint is laid over a black fender - very ugly when scratched beyond the paint. I was horrified when I saw what I had done! I used factory touch-up paint, but it's not the same as that remarkable "sparkle".
this simple tutorial on removing the front clip shows that you and a friend can remove the front body panel clip from your smart to make repairs or install new lights such as i did. Depending on the success of this video, I may do more simple tutorials such as reassembly of the front clip ... door panel removals etc. Your thoughts and comments are appreciated.
