Does anyone know if there is any difference in the 451 sold in Canada -vs- USA? I would like to buy in the states and then bring it over the border? I know I need daytime running lights for Canada.
I have a 2006 450 Diesel and would like the convertable.
I'm not sure of the differences, however I have an an extra brand new 2009 Pure with 47 miles and 5 year extended warrantee. It was only driven from the dealer to my house (New York City suburbs) last fall. I bought it for my son who ended up never needing it because he got a job that povided him a car w/expenses. I'm just now putting it up for sale on Craig's List.
I also have a 2006 diesel cabrio. (Brabus body and interior package added by former Montreal owner, 68,000 Kilometres total) The road feel and handling, as well as interior room on the 451 is inferior to the older model. The up-side of that is there are more accessories available for the 451 in CA and US than for the older model...
The main differences in the 450 and 451, as you've probably seen if you've compared them, is the overall length and the dashboard design - plus lower fuel economy. There is no difference between US and CA versions of the 451, AFAIK, though maybe another engine option for CA, as there are more engine option in The Rest Of The World vs the US. (as with most other cars... lol)

puts out heat, even when the temp slider is pulled all the way downt to
the cold setting. On a nice 5-degree C fall day, the cabin often gets
unberably hot. Even in subzero weath…
