Color coordinating Smart interior just makes the Smart stand out. You can match the car to the exterior color of the car or any other color combination you may like. It is very easy to color the Smart interior. All parts are made of plastic so any plastic color will work. Just go to your local hobby shop and pick up the color spray can. Remove the part and just spray it. I recommend putting 4 to 5 coats and then spray a clear coat several times. You are good to go. Wax the parts if you like. Now you Smart takes on a whole new personality. I painted all my gauges one color (Bright Red).

The pictures might not work well with low resolution computer screens.

Was this the same paint you used on the paddles ? Looks Great ! I wish I had a car so I could paint something.

Well I am learning also. The paddles are bright red. The gauges are Fire engine red. The best thing about the Smart is you can play with it in so many ways. When you get yours you will understand what I am trying to say. Of all the car I have and I have had Smart is giving me the most fun. I guess Smart is not a car it is a Smart mania.

I use to paint my RC cars growing up. So I thought to do the same with Smart. I guess Smart is my new toy.

I have this problem, told me dealer, and they claimed never to have heard of this happening. Acted like I am somehow nutty. I always love that. Mentioned this forum and they didn't seem to be aware.

I looked into doing the nitrogen thing only to find out how expensive it was and that simply checking air filled tires on a very reqular basis does the trick in keeping the tires at proper inflation. I decided that it wasn't worth the expense...

Good question that I don't have an expert answer for. My guesses are: The starter motor is very different and is belt drive to the engine. I doubt if that can be retrofitted to the standard; mounts and housings may not allow the system to be ...
