Please clarify the vehicle specification: "2008 SMART FORTWO 1.0L L3 F/I - exc. Turbo"

Is that "except Turbo" ?

(I'm in Australia with a pulse turbo.)

If you have the same box as USA then it will fit.

Yep, I know it "should" because the pulse turbo has the rectangular air box and not the cyclindrical one that K&N seem to believe it has. But the rest of the intake plumbing is very different.

The cost and hassle of buying an air filter internationally from the USA and for it not to be right, is not worth it. There are no current turbos in the USA for someone to test it on.

I'll email K&N and get them to verify.

This is the info i got from K&N Italy. Will speak to K&N next week just to make sure we are speaking about the turbo .

Flea, breathless is not going to give K&N praise... when they sell another brand of filter!!!!. K&N has been proven for years and years. I have had one in every car I have owned since I was 17. For twenty years I have not had any issues with or caused by K&N filters. The fuel improvement is real and the power increase is something you can FEEL. Another issue is if you want to be GREEN nowadays, slap a K&N filter in your car and never ever have to buy another replacement filter for that car.... Now that is saving our landfills from millions of discarded air filters... Lower your Carbon Footprint...... Feel the power.... An smile as you ride down the road.....

I agree with Sato. K&N is the best filter one can buy. It is best way to improve your 451 performance. If you plan to order do it soon as I understand the supply is limited and will run out.

the two P/N'S for K&N...33-2417 and 33-2647 with the 47 being the latest and greatest....

..and yes.. I've been using K&N for a long time too. Some fit great, some just not as good as you will like...

K&N is the best and they finally have one for the smart. You can't buy directly from K&N and their local dealers are usually slow and uninformed. I've always ordered my K&N products from AJUSA - best prices, free shipping. I just ordered a 33-2417 K&N for my smart from them. $49, free shipping. I recommend them.
