I don't think you can add A/C after the car's initial build, short of tearing the car down and reassembling it. I also have a 2008 without A/C. It was sitting at smartcenter Pittsburgh as an unclaimed orphan back when we were waiting 18 months or more for delivery of ordered vehicles. I personally don't much care if I have A/C or not, so I went for it, being a typical spoiled consumer and not wanting to wait until a couple of birthdays passed before I got my car. It turned out lack of A/C was a pretty big deal for my wife though, so I inquired in numerous places about the possibility of an aftermarket A/C install. The bottom line was...forget it. I was told to trade it in for a model with A/C or get used to running with the windows down. If you hear to the contrary on this, please let us all know where such magic happens.....
