$410, the intake was $150 and the exhaust was $260. The exhaust is low because i bought it from anothr Smart owner that thought it was too loud. I installed both items myself, so no labor charges.
Our first tank of fuel returned 43 mpg after these two mods. I think this is great considering how much we were testing our new mods. I will try to drive the next tank more conservatively and report back.
Just installed both items. WOW! What a difference in performance and sound. Pulling out into traffic or merging on the freeway now is not a problem at all. The car really feels like it jumps off the line, no more of that lagging hesitation. I highly recommend these modifications. I will report back on how it has affected fuel economy. Currently we get 37 driving hard and 42 with mostly highway driving. Our car is a 2008 passion with about 15,000 miles.
