Where in Mexico are you living?
The problem you may have is if you are driving a US Spec. model. Mexico gets the European version which is not having the problems of the North American car.

After driving my smart for a while and turning heads everywhere I went, I thought it would be fun to get together with other local smart owners. I’m too busy to try to host a picnic or a rally, so I went looking for events others might be organizing near my home, but didn’t find any. I scoured the online sites of smart USA insider, smartcar of America, Club smart car, and 451 smart fortwo and the closest thing I could find to a Salt Lake Valley or Wasatch Front smart club was the Smarter Utah group. You gave your location as Salt Lake, so will you join us? Once enough of us are connected, we can get some events organized.
