hi everyone i have a smart car when i put water in the expantion bottle the water seems the go in and seems to end up in the cab on the floor ive lifted the carpet and it seems to be coming from the centre and in

It would be very unusual for the expansion bottle to leak in the passenger compartment. Most likely the source of your leak is that the A/C evaporator drain tube is pinched or has come loose or is plugged up. You can check this tube as it is visible in the battery compartment. The other source of a coolant leak in the passenger compartment would be a leaky heater core. If this were the case, you would smell the sweet smell of coolant and the windshield may fog up briefly when starting the car. If you constantly have to add coolant to the recovery bottle, then you have a leak and that should be corrected ASAP so that you do not damage the engine.
