smart Car
Anyone know of instructions on how to remove the driver seat? I lost some jewelry under it and that apparently is the only way I will be able to get to it. Ugh!! Dealer wanted too much to do it.

Gives a good illustrated guide... and as they say... disconnect the battery and wait a while for the side airbags in the seat to deactivate before doing anything. That makes it a hazardous job as far as car techs go... so they charge more for the job??
Good luck with it. Just dropping a coin in a smart can be a lost adventure.

Yikes; disconnect the battery? Screws up my radio settings. I guess I have lost that jewelry. Maybe I will hit the dealer up again for the price. This sounds too complicated for me. Thanks for link.

My neighbor just recently fished out my earring. I am so HAPPY! I am going to try to find some black foam to shove in between the driver seat and the non-console so I won't lose anything else in the bottomless pit.

Just reiterating what Ian stated, yes... disconnect the battery. If you don't, it may trigger your air bag light, THEN you will have to go back to the dealer to get that reset and that part will cost you even more money ;-)
