Ok, here's a wired one. For the past two days, my smart car has been parked right outside the kitchen window, and our cordless phone is inside the kitchen window. Phone rings, gets picked up, and the smart car alarm goes off (and all you can hear on the phone is garbled noises). Hang up the phone, the alarm stops. Does anyone have a clue on this one?

Hmm, poltergeist? Is your car alarm RF activated? Do you arm and disarm it via a key fob? If so, maybe the phone and the alarm are on the same frequency. Try moving the phone to another location, or better still, if your phone has 2 channels A-B, switch it to see if you can solve it. Otherwise, I'm back to Poltergeists.

Update - took it to the new dealer in Cerritos Saturday, and they have heard of this happening - some cordless home phones have the same frequency as some smart car alarms. In addition to setting off the alarm, it also tripped the TPS Monitor, and I took it in for that - they said it was related to the alarm being triggered by the phone - I will take it in this week and they will reset the TPS Monitor light.

you can reset the TPMS yourself, it's the button to the right of the the tow away button below the radio. just push it once or twice and it resets the TPMS.

What device can one get to cancel someones cell phone call while they are driving around you (on the side, behind, or in front of you)?
I'm tired of having to swerve out of the way of a person that's on the phone and not looking around to see who and where another person is while they are driving.

I have a similar problem with 2008 PassionForTwo, which has occurred four times in the 28 months and 13K miles of ownership. I'm happily driving along until I reach my destination, then I need to go into Reverse to park. The shifter works flawlessly…
Does anyone know of any funt evernts like car rallies/scavenger hunts in or around Toronto for smart cars or any other fun club I can go on?
