What make of tyres did your Smart come with, mine came with Continental 195/45back 175/50front

I believe they all come with the same unless you get the Braus in the US

I believe that Continental is part of the "modular" plant at smartville. They do the installation of each tire assembly (tire, wheel, & sensor) from their "branch office" right there in the plant. That probably explains why they install tire sizes that we can't get directly from Continental.

Um no... the smarts in the US do not come with 195/45 in back nor do they come with 175s in the front!
Sorry to burst your bubble but they run 155s on 15x4.5" wides in front and 175s on 15x5.5" wides in the rear.

The fan that kicks on back in the engine compartment is a blower that blows air into the exhaust to warm up the catalytic converter. Reason being is this is an ultra low emission vehicle. This usually runs for just 20-30 seconds and then shuts off.
