They do seem to need to order against a car that you own. I went through the nonsense trying to get some smart care touch up paint. The parts guy couldn't locate the number and gave up. When I obtained the number; he found it in the M-B parts database which is world-wide. It showed 165 available in Germany and 6 in Singapore... so the order was from Singapore; took a week to arrive. He told me that once you have the parts number, it can be shipped from anywhere at the same cover charge. Since I bought the car there, all he needed was my registration number and the order was placed against my vehicle. Makes sense.... if you don't own a smart; what are you doing ordering smart spare parts? The order needs to be approved by M-B?
195/50 Contis are probably a smart supply only. I can't find the pulse sizes on any tyre suppliers web sites here, including Continental, so have resigned myself to get them replaced by my smart centre down the road, when needed.
I haven't noticed a smart part on the tyres... those infamous numbers beginning with A-451... LOL. My spare parts guy doesn't get on well with the M-B parts catalog. The tyres must have a smart number and believe it or not, smart will source and supply any smart part to anywhere, from anywhere... but price is not negotiable; being set by M-B country by country.

Yep,
The pulse tyres are all contis. It is the only new car I have ever bought where I'm completely happy with the wheels and tyres. Every other new car I've bought over the past 30 years had the tyres changed for Michelins as soon as the engine was broken in.

How do you like the brake light upgrade? I did mine and love it.
Did you get your ECU remaped?
