Smart Fog Lights

I wanted to add fog lights to my car and decided to call the dealer to install them. The dealer told me it can't be done. This was News to me can't be done.
Has anyone dealt with this problem.
I would love to add fog lights to my car.

You can have your fogs on all the time as we just leave them on for better vision. HID's are becoming more common and that is a blinding issue. I run 100 watts and hids in my Smart and the road becomes day light clear.

Thanks Kahn! I printed up and showed this to the dealer's GM...who in fact accompanied me to parts to query this. Parts said, "NOPE". Tackling that work would certaily void the warranty with the exceptional electrical complexity. Just as I figured. But thanks very much for the heads-up. I appreciate the response !

I'll bet this parts guy is the same guy that told some customers that the smart was air cooled...
until it was brought to his attention to explain the radiator....
...there is no way that fog lamps installation will void warranty....WTF...

The dealer at Edison, NJ is first one to install smart fog lights for me. The car came without fog lights. I added them and they installed it for me.

Everyone who is interested please go to the smart Edison and get yours installed.

What I did I bought all of the required hardware, including the center console with fog light switch and installed them with my friend over the weekend. Then drove to smart dealership and they performed the upgrade to the software. I paid them less than $50. Hadrware came to be $145, plus chrome fog rings 45 and switch board $135.
