My smart has a leak that fills the hatch lid and empties when I open the hatch.I will take it to the
dealer before my warrantee expires.You should do the same.

is it in the battery well? on the 451 there is an evaporator hose that goes down through that cavity and dumps below ( outside). some have reported that tube has cracked or dislodged and thus you get a nice bathtub full of water for your hard working battery.....
