It happened. My nightmare. My Smart car, Maxwell, was hit.
On my way home from work on Wednesday, January 13th, I was in a line of cars waiting for a red light (I was 5th or 6th in line) when I looked into my rearview mirror and saw a car coming up behind me. I could see the top of the driver's head, which told me he was texting!

Fliegen: September 1990 - April 28, 2009
Little Fliegen passed away at 10:22am on Tuesday, April 28 while I cradled her. Although her medication had stopped her seizures, it became apparent that the brain tumour was rapidly affecting her in multiple ways and I could no longer let her suffer. Fliegen
I am sad to report that my little pup, Fleigen the wonder-dog, all of 19 amazing years, is approaching the end of her road.
She has been suffering from occasional seizures which have suddenly increased as of Thursday night. Although my vet has prescribed anti-seizure meds, they are continuing and are starting to have longer lasting effects. We are waiting on blood tests to rule out any pathogens that could theoretically be the cause, although that is considered to be a longshot. The most likely… Continue

- I stopped by the Coral Gables dealer today, Mercedes pre-owned is all moved in and there is one Smart remaining on the lot.Smart closes tomorrow. The Mercedes dealer will not continue to service or sell parts. I thought the dealer was excellant and I'm very happy with my Smart. I have three comments 1)Smart should train and authorize indepentant service centers, 2) America should get over there prejudice against small cars that are fuel efficient and have small emissions, 3) Smart needs to re-evaluate its marketing strategy, cotracting is the road to failure.

- How was your trip to Carmel? Wife and I watched for Maxwell that weekend, but no luck. Our grandson plays little league ball on Saturdays close to the Carmel Mission, we usually eat breakfast at the Blackbear on Highway #1. I work in Carmel and sofar we've only seen two other smarts in the area, so you should have been easy to spot. Sorry we missed you!

There is so much love coming out of the yellow/ black combination smart fortwo that this one is really growing on me. I was going to configure on silver/silver but it's like half the cars in the whole country are silver. One of the great things about the smart fortwo is how different it is. To go silver/silver would just make it blend in with the masses and hide it. I don't what to hide my smart fortwo. I want to display it. And I want other drivers to see it. I don't know how many times I have started to change lanes and been caught off guard because I didn't see a silver colored car. They just blend in with the road. So congradulations on finely getting your smart fortwo in one of the best color combinations that exemplifies what the smart is all about. It's uniqueness. I am really feeling the love.
