Who has tinted windows?

I decided to have the dealer tint my windows to try and stave off the damage of UV rays and protect my red interior. I have also found that I can sort of ignore all the people who want to chat at stop lights and at intersections if I need to. Don't get me wrong I have answered about 3942 questions about my smart since taking delivery less than a week ago and am enjoying every minute of it but sometimes I need to make a call at a stop light or fiddle with my radio or just think about driving. (god forbid) When I told my Son I was having the windows tinted he was sort of disappointed about it. He was looking forward to traveling in a "fishbowl" until I explained my reasoning for window tinting. Plus I have never had a vehicle with tinted windows and I think it looks kinda cool on this tiny little car that I can't stop driving!

In my case It also gives you some privacy from the druling paparazi and the million questions at lights. Do the tint... you'll love it; ▶ Reply to This

Cost was under $200. Installation can be tricky though due to the tight seal on the side glass. But you DO NOT need to remove the door skins to get to the seal. My installer used my car a ginnea pig and instead fashioned a plastic plate to slide between the interior seal and the glass. The result: no drips, no runs, no errors.; ▶ Reply to This

Seems to help the a/c work a little easier and gives a little space when you don't want to interact with the curious.; ▶ Reply to This

If you tint it it will look great. Check out my photos. This is 5% all around and 30% on the windshield. I paid 150.00 cash out the door. Great deal for privacy and protection.
