451 smart fortwo

hey people finally got the tires and rims all mounted up and balanced .. the smart rides really better than expected with 17" rims and tires and the low profile tires really absorb the bumps pretty good the tire size i used was 195/40/17 for the front and 215/35/17 for the rear the only problem i had was that ther is no one company that makes both sizes so up front i used continental and out rear i used yokohama these are bot good tire companies any questions feel free to ask or just give me a call 917-337-2179 sammy from the bronx ny oh yeah and the whole set up only cost me 1100.00 with all the shipping and balancing

Nice fit. These wheels works well with car. But aren't these older style wheels? Haven't seen them around. What brand are they?

these are made by artec and yes they may be old style but if you remember they only came in 15 inch back in the day now they make a 17" any how they fit my style the look like a big benz emblem lol lol lol

Wow the are very bling,

I use Hankook tyres type Evo1 but i live in Europe.
The sizes are the same and very correct for 17inch rims.
Lots of fun with your new set of chrome

help me Rondell, help help me Rondell Yeah, get her outa my heart! when i get a steady income i'll go for those (been working a 6 week temp assignment the last 8 months...LOL) i prefer the beefier 195/50-15 tires, i used them on my metro for years, the dinky standard tires leave a bit to be desired, 195's can handle anything a potholed, northern illinois can throw at a car. you want potholes, vote Democrat!!! look at illinois and michigan, two hell holes to live in!

Looks great Sammy!
Thanks for sharing how you overcame the tire size differential!

Wrong. I just got 195/40/17s for the front and 225/35/17s for the rear, both from Yokohama. Hope to have them mounted next week!

i used 195/40/17 and 215/35/17 not 225/35/17 so its not about being wrong its about not rubbing in the rear and i bet the adaptors cost a fortune you have to remember the car is only 12grand and i didnt want to go over board with the wheels thanks for the negativity and your smart looks great

It was not a mistake, it had more to do with the lack of space on the smarts drive by wire computer and its allowable inputs. There was simply no more room for it in the current design.
