Had a great experience at the dealer in Charlotte today. My wife and I each test drove the car and talked to the guys for almost an hour. No pressure. Came home and placed my order for a Red Passion. Of course by the time it gets here in 18 months I may forget that I bought it. :)

Ordered mine in September (2007) and got our yellow & black Passion on the 12th of July. so far we are enjoying it immensely. This car has a lot more get up and go than I really expected, even after 2 test drives. we are both still thrilled at learning paddles as well as being able to go full auto if we get lazy. But best of all - there is no clutch either way.

I got my notice yesterday to expect my cabriolet within the next 90 days. Hope it will not take that long. I am in Wilmington, NC and will be picking my car up in Cary. Put my reservation in last September, so a one year wait. After reading many of the postings on this site, it looks like many of you have had to take your cars back to the dealership for adjustments. It's a long drive for me, have any of you been able to take your cars to some other place than where you purchased? Can't wait to get mine.

Hi I got my smart fortwo at the end of May and I love it. I just installed an Area 451 CC and I love that too. Are there any upcoming events? I'm in Fayetteville, are there any other smart owners around here? Hope to meet a few in the future.

I look at it when I get a chance, but busy working - of course that ends in February when I retire (for the second time). After that I hope to start dragging the Smart all over the place behind the RV. This time I will make the retirement stick - we hope.
What we need to do is see if we can get together somewhere sometime. Charlotte seems to have their own - anyone interest in a little further north? How about a trip to the ZOO?

I've got a SmartCar and have had difficulty with the engine light coming on. Did I read that you had the same difficulty? If you did I sure would like to know more about it or if it was resolved. My email address is: bdj225@usa.net

Nope. - we had a seatbelt light that would not go out. took back to dealer and they replaced the pax seat belt assembly. Sorry, but I would suggest taking to dealer to have them fix it.
