How much dose a Smart Windshield cost?
Florida's no-fault insurance covers windshields.. I found out after a becoming the catchers mitt for flying debris on I-95. I do question the thickness or at least perhaps the tempering of the glass wind shields on our smarties.

Windshield cracking
Less than a month after replacing my original windshield (small chip developed into a 15 inch vertical crack from just under the drivers side wiper) - while driving on the 91 Freeway in Corona, CA - a small piece of debris hit the upper passenger side. By the sound of the impact I didn't think much about it - then noticed a dime size star chip! I freaked! So, how can us tall people get one of these?
I haven't had that problem here. Thank god. This city is full of Smarties - 4 in my neighbourhood alone - so I guess people are used to them.
We took ours through the Rockies to the BC (Canada) coast with no problem at all. Manual mode does work best.
Is Long Island part of the group. If so, I may be interested. I'm in the city quite often.
