451 smart fortwo

Hello folks

This is my first post. I just picked up an 09 fortwo Coupe. I want to install a scanguage II in the plastic panel over the dome light. I have seen this install in a photo (on this site I think). My question is this. How does one remove the panels that are at the top of the windshield and down the pillars? I've looked on several sites and came up empty. Installing it there makes a very clean look but I don't want to break the panels by snapping off a plastic tab somewhere.

Thanks

that's andy kahn, he really has modded out his smart. the wiring for the SG2 is easy, one "cat 5" cable (computer network cable). the difficult part is the cutting of that panel and mounting the SG2 (it's a smooth little box, so you'd have to put something on it to mount it. you'll be pressing all those little buttons to operate the SG2, so it will have to be firmly mounted in that hole)

also, it would be mounted a few inches above the rear view mirror. it would be like looking at the passenger airbag light. i got my SG2 on ebay with a suction arm which can mount on the dash surface or the windshield for an extra $30. i mounted my SG in the lower left corner of the windshield (http://www.451s.com/forum/topics/1912846:Topic:23947?x=1%231912846C...) to be truly useful, it should be in "line of sight" (it wouldn't be much fun seeing that 100+MPG reading before rear ending traffic in front of you)
