Something isn't right. I live in Vero Beach...just across the state from you and also drive just short trips. My trips are more like 5 miles per trip instead of 15, and the lowest mileage I've ever gotten is 34mpg, with AC and two passengers. My average mileage is 36-38. Premium gas, and I let the car do most of the shifting. Sometimes I'll shift it manually, but that's for squirting in and out of traffic. Mostly let it do it's thing.

My 08 smart Passion hardtop has 19,500 miles on it, two years old this past July. I drive in and out of Boston every day, I-93 (44 mi roundtrip). Stop and go, slow traffic, and traffic lights in city. I consistently get 37 mpg with high octane gas. It seems like my AC is on most of the year. Although I have gotten in the 40's, never consistently like some claim. I don't use the paddle shifters either. I drive it more like a sports car than anything else but I like it that way. Don't ever turn the ignition off in traffic! Yikes.

Your car looks VERY nice, you've done great work. But one thing stands out - the silver headlamps. Need to paint them black! Instructions at Evilution, of course. My son and I did mine, and they look like they came that way.
Oh, and by the way, GREAT comedic writing - I laughed multiple times during the reading of this review. Not only was I interested in it, but I had great fun reading it. Thanks for that too!
