San Diego smarties should give Howard a chance. He's trying to gather smart owners under one roof, something smart usa apparently is unwilling to do. Hell, the local dealership in San Diego won't even allow postings of events that Howard is planning or even hand out membership forms during the purchase process. Since Roger Penske isn't willing to coordinate a club--at least in San Diego--Howard is probably your best bet.

With the advent of the internet, many people have taken the liberty of hiding behind a pseudonym. Within the past several days, I have received several rude comments from an individual who refers to himself as "smart attack." Of course, this is not his name, rather his pseudonym, aka as "the name one hides behind" when they do not have the courage or are embarrassed to reveal their true identity. The following are comments "smart attack" has made to me:
At 11:18PM on June 16th, "smart attack" said,
"Howard G. Singer, perhaps the most fraudulent man who drives a smart. Look for him with the license plate "SMART."

"Mr Ed". . .I would never place you in the same category as "smart attack." Your question has considerable merit. If I wanted to become a member of an active club, I would ask the same question. "Mr. Ed", I would be happy to answer your questions and discuss any other matters about our club. I also extend that same olive branch to anyone who has not joined our dues paying membership organization. My telephone number follows my signature at the conclusion of this email.
With regard to "smart attack", this is the last response I will address on this forum from you. You are welcome to continue attacking and insulting me on this forum. You have the perfect pseudonym, "smart attack" to continue to do so. Perhaps you should apply for the personalized license plates "smart attack." As you know, "SMART" is no longer available! If however, you can muster the courage to call and introduce yourself, providing your given name and surname, I would be happy to discuss any problem that might be bothering you. If you continue insulting me, your untruthful and vicious remarks will go unanswered. People will soon begin to realize you are a bully without the courage to telephone me.

YOU SHOULD HAVE TWO LEVELS OF MEMBERSHIP: $20 FOR SMART OWNERS AND $10 FOR SMART "ASPIRANTS". YOU SHOULD ALSO OFFER PATCH, A COUPLE OF DECALS, CAP OR SOMETHING FOR THE $20 FEE. JUST A THOUGHT...
