451 smart fortwo

Any one have problem with the door closing on a 2010 Smart forTwo Passion? Just got this a couple of weeks ago and during the test drive I didn't have a problem with the door closing. I really have to slam it to close it when I'm outside and I also have to really slam it to close it when I'm in the driver seat. Maybe they screw something up when they swap the body panels???? There were scratches on the door handles so I brought it back to the dealer and they kind of buffed it so it's not so noticeable. While waiting for them to buff the door handles, I tested the doors on the 3 Smart fortwo cars in the showroom and had no problem closing the doors on the ones in the showroom. I know there are problem with door closing on the 2008 models but can't find any info on problem with door closing on the 2010 models. THANKS MUCHO.

I have a 2009 Brabus and have the same problem. Took it in and they said that it was normal...???
When I take my car back to the dealer for installation of car alarm, I'll ask them to fix door closing problem. Discussions of this problem on the 2008 models said it can be fixed with an adjustment or one guy said they had to replace his door. If they do fix my door, I think you should go to the dealer again and insist they fix it.
I have had the same problem, it seems to close if I hit the door lock button a few times

Dusty: I got the same code. I simply erased the code and that was it. I think it was a momentary glitch. Anyway, go to a local Pep Boys and see if they will erase the code for free. Look forward to seeing you in a few weeks.

I was told that it was because the engine is so close to the rear of the car and that it was nothing to worry about - the car was built to handle it, it just smells when it gets hot.
