how green are our smarts???

Driving my Smart around town and using my BMW for longer trips (motoway) I would say that my Smart consumes more than the BMW per km. So i guess to plant more trees buy a BMW.
Now to be serious, Smart says 21km's per liter. 3.783 lts to one US gallon. I mile =1.6'9Kilometers which to my calculation = around 49 miles to one gallon. """Sombody tell me if that is wrong"""" dose anybody get that sort of mpg out of there smart. I knon i use mine mainly in town but i get around 1/2 of that...

If you drive the car @ 50mph cruising around.... you will do 50mpg. I have done it quite often. and I also get 43mpg on the highway @ 80mph

Maybe it's the turbo but I am nowhere near you, but what you have to rember is that in Santa Margherita most of the time you are in second or third gear, http://www.santa-margherita-ligure.com/en/

I have had my smart since Jan. 08......I looked out in my yard and didn't see any new trees.......

P.S. Just went in for Trany fix and blower fix.....

maybe its a seed they plant.... I would think a full sized tree at 40+ feet would be difficult to plant... and what if you live in an apartment?
