Y'all, what's the most number of litres (or gallons, please specify imperial or U.S.) you've ever put in your 451? I was reading 3.0L remaining when I added 29 gallons last week. I once added 29.87 in October. Had I already dipped into the 5L reserve or did I have 3.13 litres remaining + the 5L reserve?

Fuel tank is 33 litres capacity that includes the 28 litres "normal full" and the 5 litres reserve. Or to put it another way: after using 28 litres the gauge will flip into reserve display showing how the last 5 litres is being used. There is possibly a litre or more capacity in the filler pipe from cap to tank. In the Aussie owners manual they state that waiting a while after the first cut off at the pump will allow you to add a bit more into the filler pipe... about half a litre. Absolute capacity could be as much as 35 litres (?) with the filler pipe topped up.
I have stumbled onto a few service station pumps that indicate 24 litres fill when the smart gauge is still at 2 full bars left. In these cases, the Scangauge may indicate 20 litres have been used, yet the pump stings me for 24.. In US terms, that's about a gallon. Current Aussie price for BP Ultimate is now hitting $1.50 per litre... so some service stations are ripping off about $6.00 for the smart; double that for most other cars.
