Carbon Drum Brake Covers

Made these up.
These Carbon Drum Brake Covers are thin and light and cover the brake drum with a smart looking design.
I painted the outside flange to look like a disk brake rotor.
What do you think?

pretty cool, i really like the gas flap as well. i have pure wheel covers at the moment, when i get alloys, i'll be ready for them. i need beefier tires. the front tires are too damned skinny!

Some people have too much time on their hands and too much money in there wallet. Come on guys get real!!
If you put real disc brakes on the back and it improved your 139 ft stopping distance I would sing your praises. To put fake useless anything on your smart is trite. Neal

i'm living on borrowed time at the moment, i was unemployed for 5 months last year and blew a chunk of change on a quick and failed marriage. (my losses would cover a smart cabrio). if someone wants to make their smart look better, more power to them! i'll pay my smart off next month.

it's not like anyone has gone out and shoved a suzuki motorcycle engine in their smart! and some people do have some extra $$$ floating around. if you're of such a mind-set, sell all your stuff, move to india and buy a tata nano!!! stop bitching and moaning! i wish i had a few extra bucks to throw into my little pure, but i'll sit here and cheer every time someone mods their smart. i want new wheels/tires, exhaust, turbo and other goodies... if someone gets them HOOORAAAAH!!!! get real, so many people put goofy assed wheel covers over their steel wheels that are a joke! if it pleases them, it's cool! when you finish crying your river, build a bridge and get over it!

if i win the lotto (big win, millions) i'll stuff a mazda rotary into my smart, maybe even a twin turbo, if it fits.it'll blow away that silly diablo smart and even be "drivable". but i'm quite content with the mitsu 3-banger. personally, i'd wish the USA had a max speed limit of 45mph, i like driving and observing the nice scenery and not fearing for my life at 75+mph, while wasting a lot of gas/$$$.

Seriously dude, are they for sale? Will they void the warranty? I like the look, and hey the carbon faux discs might even help dissipate heat.
As for the replies about get real! Let's see, you don't wax or wash your car to make it look appealing to you? You didn't get any 'extras' on it when you ordered? You don't think about some little accessory that will trick it up for you?
I repeat: I like the look. Are you going to make them for sale?

Wow looking good, any word on that hood? Would really love to show it off on the Cannonball Run and of course let people know where they could get some of it :) also the plan for this site is to upgrade to list off the aftermarket sources for smart parts, to date I've delt with most if not all the vendors and people like yourself who are able to produce one-off type parts, so do let me know if you are keen to put this stuff into production and we'll all do what we can do help.

On the theme of sharing some photos bellow is a "spy photo" of my smart in the shop this weekend, if you notice the carbon stuff I have on the inside, looks great, really need to come and see if first hand ;) but I will also be posting video and updated journal of the build which will go live in 2 week on this site.

I bought a pair of these from Randy and the quality is good, the look nice, especially if you want the all-around disk brake look but don't want to mess with the stability control calcualtions.

Good product, good quality and something you won't find anywhere else.

I thought the carbon fiber look was okay. But my real question is for smartster....I have been looking on the site for only a short time and was just wondering....Who are you? I mean, you seem to know everything about the smart. Just wondering. I am the proud papa of a three week old passion and couldn't be more proud of my baby.

How is the carbon drum look holding up? I was going to do it to mine.

Where do you get these and what's the price?

I think you can buy it on EBAY and apply it your self. Easy to do just takes time to remmove the wheel.
