turn key to ON and let computer come up to par, a few seconds, you will hear all kind of clicks and buzz.
no more noises = OK
now you are ready for touch start, just bump the key and away you go.
turn key to "on"
press brake
run shifter through all gears including manual shifter mode and back to park, take your time, a few seconds in each gear.
see if that works.

Hi Flea, I bought the barn from a company in British Columbia that makes motorcycle enclosures and this is their biggest model intended for a trike. It was $450 and now they are offering free shipping. It fits the smart car perfectly and keeps the rain snow and especially bird poop off the car which is parked under two large trees. It works out well and is bolted down to the driveway so it has withstood some very strong winds. You have to back the car in as otherwise the the doors won't open to get out of the car once it's inside, but there are a few inches of clearance on each side of the mirrors. It's pretty handy and I'm quite satisfied with it. Here is the website for more info: http://www.thebikebarn.net/smartbarn_model.html
