OK , help me here, how hard it is to install a set of lights, wire a protected switch and make it work. WTF is the controller needed for? , why will you need to run the lights throught it?
Please Mr B.E post some pics of your mod.
now that's funny,,,,,no...I'm actually holding the camera..
...Please post some pics of your light and switch mod when done
...I know it will be top shelf...BTW seen your spud gun video....pretty cool
you should see my new "mod" for the spud gun, 150,000V ignition, i'll make a video of that in a couple days, 1/2 inch hot blue spark (ARC), beats the hell out of a 1/16 inch piezo Weber sparker. (i left the weber on, just in case i run out of batteries in the field, i have three NiMH 9v batteries, so that should never happen)
i've got another monitor (12inch monochrome, my color ones i'll sell, i just bought 4 LCDs in the last 2 weeks) i got a new Grundig am/fm/sw radio coming in, i could blow up my GE classic radio (works fine, no light behind the dial though)
my smart "died" today, dead stick shift, so i can't drive off to blow anything up now. it's too damned cold, as you know, i'll take "donations" for other things to blow up, they have to fit in a smart.
It's not hard at all if you don't care about using the original on/off switch.Just mount a fused swiitch to a hot wire under the dash somewhere and tie into the fog light harness. But if you own a Pure and are a purist, and like your work to look and work like it would from the factory, they are making it harder then it should be. They should not make the car so you have to have a software update to turn on the fog lights with the factory switch. And then to top it off, not tell most of the dealers how to do it. It should just work ! Add the fog lights, plug them in, and turn them on. Thats it.
I'm sure we covered this before... it seems that the TAN Code (err... ECU or SAM programming ??) needs updating for the factory switch to be activated. See the last line of: http://www.fq101.co.uk/451foglamps.asp
... web searching for TAN code and I found this site: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2078147
... a tuned roadster... ahhhh...!
But still no clue what a smart TAN code may be except a: Transaction Activation Number ?
