Hi Dan!

Thanks so much for your interest. You just gave me an idea of trying to make one today. We are installing a set today, and I will take pictures to make a video for you, et. al. The width of the door opening is not as wide as the traditional OEM, but it is big enough for someone who is 6'-6.5, about 225 to get through. I will try to get a measurement for you. As well, we have had a guest who is 300 lbs + be able to get in and out of them without any concerns or restraints. Give me to today, and I will come back later this evening with some better results. I'm going to get some basic install picts for you. To be honest, though I have never installed them, they are quite easy to install if someone at least has a basic mechanical background. I know what a cold air intake is, how to change my oil and tire, can read directions, know how to align a door, so it's decent.

I may have a lead for you on the East Coast. Let me do some homework. In the meantime, don't hesitate to reach me at the shop at 562-961-6800 10-6pm Pacific Time, usually later as of lately :). I feel so thankful to be able to write that number without hesitation. That other "USA" forum won't let me help users like yourself with questions or answers to the community. So a big thanks to 451s for letting me be here for you!

Cheers,
SmartGurl (aka rach of smart madness :)

Hi SmartGurl,

Is the Video/pictures done? I am interested in how it look from the inside.

TIA.

Hi TIA,

Unfortunately video isn't done :( I can tell you, from the inside it looks the same as your conventional stock door. Remember, this is a completely reversible kit so it looks the same as it does from the inside to the outside. The only difference is that it opens like a regular door, then it goes into a gradual up/ swoop. I'll try to remember to pull the picts and videos we have (raw, unedited) to see what is doable... bare with me, I'm trying!

To you, yours and your smart,
