We have been busy lately and I don't get a chance to post on here that often. So, this evening I got a little bit of time and I thought I would log in, drop in and say "Hello" and at the same time show you one of the smart cars we made over last week.

"Bobble head" Thanks for making me laugh this morning. :-)
Hopefully the Euro Tuner feature will expose the smart to a whole new community and show them what is possible. There was a little error in the article. The turbo we have installed in our Orange smart is running at 8lbs of boost and is getting 115 HP at the wheels. They had a misprint and quoted less. Otherwise the article turned out pretty nice.
The dyno testing was done by SFR (the manufacturer of the turbo kit). All those (including us) that have installed this turbo kit have been VERY pleased with the performance gains it has provided. The turbo is only running on 8 lbs of boost and can be turned up to 22+ lbs for even more HP. We advise against this due to the risk of damaging internal components. Our goal is to offer a reliable performance upgrade that can be used daily. The current set up is a great out of the box solution for those that want a significant upgrade to the performance of their smart without all the extra trouble and problems that are associated with these types of upgrades. Those that want more and do not care about long term reliability can simply download different software and increase the boost which will provide up to 150 HP.
Ooohh, if you could see the car we're working on now :) It's like no other smart, it's black and red, that's all I'll tell ya! Picts will be here shortly as we're wrapping it up- stay tuned!

Dusty: I got the same code. I simply erased the code and that was it. I think it was a momentary glitch. Anyway, go to a local Pep Boys and see if they will erase the code for free. Look forward to seeing you in a few weeks.
Just to be sure you have all the details, here isa a quick recap about the OEM smart rack
- 2 config. possible: Coupé ou cabrio. A coupé rack won't fit on a cabrio.
- You need at least the base rack. Everything else is just adaptors for it. So, yo…
Oh Martin I had missed your reply for the rack, how about $125 and I would probably take it when you come to M.T.L......JUST HAVE TO FIND THE ADAPTOR,.....is yours a single bike rack holder?.....sorry if i sound dum with my questions, just very busy…
I was told that it was because the engine is so close to the rear of the car and that it was nothing to worry about - the car was built to handle it, it just smells when it gets hot.
