I just picked up my Passion on Friday. How can i keep the flap on the rubber floor mat (drivers side) from falling down? I tried velcro, but the adhesive won't stick to the carpet. My dealer doesn't recommend putting those clips that drills holes in the floor. Any suggestions?

The clips don't put holes in the floor. They put holes in the carpet. I put them in when I added the regular floor mats and they workgreat.

My dealer installed the carpet minutes before I drove the car home. He used a screw driver to punch two holes in the carpet and then drilled the little plastic pieces in. It was pretty easy.

the OE mats have a plastic self tapping screw that bores into the carpet and holds on. these come with the carpet floor mats. As far as velcro , the hard side of the velcro sticks to the floor of our smarts.. on my carpets, the passengers side stays put using velcro installed by the factory (OE). let me know if you need pics to make things clearer.....

I did not want to put holes in the carpet of my new Smart. I just left them in the glove box and they never more or roll or anything. Just lay there. Seems to me to be the way to go.

I installed HID's from Smart Madness. They put the OEM lights to shame. Why would Smart not put HID's in standard. What an improvement, so much safer when you can see with that kind of clarity. If you do choose to install HID's be sure they clearly…
