Hi,

I have had my Passion for a little over a week now, (best car I've ever owned) and I just noticed that my passenger seat sits back a good 6 inches further than my driver seat. Is this supposed to be like this? Just curious.

by off setting the positions of driver and passenger, it gives each person more elbow room. not sure if this is the reason...

it's also because the battery, air pump and tire repair kit reside in the passenger footwell. (along with the tow hook, my smart was towed away yesterday, stuck stick shift of doom)

mr b.e.is totally correct, the draw back of the farther than the left seat travel is the seat belt getting caught in the buckle more times that you want to count...ask me how I know.

The other reason the passenger seat moves further back is to allow the seat back to fold forward for full length luggage loading.

LOL, sorry, learn something new everyday, if you're not careful! probably the 10mph "auto-lock" feature kicked in. i've found the only other way (so far) to lock the keys in the car is by locking the doors from the outside and tossing the keys throu…

I left the ignition on to tow my Smart Car a short way on a car dolly. Do not do this with the windows up. The doors automatically lock! It took me two hours to figure out how to get in without damabing the car.

I have another question, how does the re tune effect fuel efficiency? I bought my smart with the belief that fuel prices would go up and for my daily commute back and fourth to the office there is no need for me to drive my 3.0L V6 Maxima when I am…

Herb, good comments and questions. You point about re-assuring prospective customers is well taken, thank you! It is not well known here in the United States, but in the EU,file theft is a huge issue for tuners. This is why the files are all locked…
