the 3m tape that they come with are a little weak go to your auto store and ask for some 3m auto double sided tape and get the 1 inch size and reinstall the bigger 3m tape and ditch the small 3m tape it comes with. Fill the attachment area with the new tape. works great you can shift touching just the very tip if needed to.
Your best bet is to either remove the old one and take it to a battery centre; or look at it and note the amp hour rating, width, depth and height and terminal postion... then go to either a smart service centre or a good battery centre.
