Missed you at the Bev. Hills thing. Despite what you may have heard, a LOT of good folks were there - about 90+(should have been more) cars. Nobody got a sales pitch, no political agendas, just a fun run with fun folks. The only thing forced on me was coffee and donuts and other gifts. It didn't hurt a bit! Vinnie was a terrific host. Beverly Hills Police were terrific also. They have a "black&white" smart!
I regret that I joined the kill-joys, in that I had to run off before the group photo on top of the Petersen. A smart time was had by all.

I'm serious about coming down to LA, I didn't keep your address but I will take you up on the wheel and tire. Let me know when and where we can meet. I'll program you into GPS and head that way in the smart.

So, I got out my ruler.....and it looks like the 215mm tire width will only allow about a half inch of "shoulder" on the tires on these 7.5" rims. Not a lot of curb protection for the wheels. Hmmm, maybe I should go to 225mm tire face......
To tell you the truth, I can't wait!!
The tires will arrive on Monday. I will post photos.
This was almost as bad as waiting for the car! (Remember, I purchased the wheels before Christmas.) February 16th I will finally roll them.
That's all I have to say about that today.
Also ordered Yokos
BTW, these wheels say that they will take a 225 on the rear "with a slight body modification". I'm not sure what that is, but I think it's the Brabus Rear Fender Moulding ($113. per side).
Yoko seems to be the only mfg. that has both sizes. Are they pretty sticky?
Hope you are well.
After purchasing wheels before Christmas, I finally took delivery on them today (yes, Feb 10).
A few questions:
What size tires did you use?
Do you have the Brabus (modified) suspension?
Any rubbing?
Highest regards,
BB

I think if try that for the future uploads more of us will able to enjoy the wonderful pictures that you post for everyone. Thanks, Dan
Did you get yours tinted, I cant remember. I was thinking of 20-25% maybe.
I should have my car back tomorrow or friday. The body shop had problems with the rear fenders.... Lorinser didn't make them right. :-( bummer. THe installer told me he had to re-fabricate them and repaint them. He will be contacting Lorinser with pictures for me. I'm thinking about getting my windows tinted while he has my car too, depending how much he wants. What % would you suggest? I already have tinted tail lights so I don't want to be "too illegal" ;) even though the limo tint looks really nice on the SmartMadness demo car.... I'll post pictures when I get the car back too. It's been pouring rain down here lately!
Cheers!
